Flufenacet herbicide was discovered by Bayer Cropscience in Germany and promoted for application in 1995. Its active ingredient, like benzothiazide, belongs to the aryloxyethamide class of compounds and is a cell division and growth inhibitor. It has a similar weed control spectrum to chlorinated acetamide herbicides. It can eliminate annual grass weeds in the fields of corn, wheat, rice, barley, soybeans and other crops, such as multi-flowered ryegrass, sedge, foxtail grass, barnyard grass, horse grass, grass, Japanese grass, Japanese grass, hard grass, etc. It also has a certain inhibitory effect on some small broad-leaved weeds. Fluothiazuram herbicide is systemic and can migrate within crops. It is often used for soil sealing treatment and is an early herbicide before or after germination, with a significant effect in controlling weeds.

I. Advantages of Fluothiazuram herbicide

1. High selectivity. It is safe for crops such as wheat and corn. It can be used both before and after sowing and in the early stage after sowing. It is of low toxicity and relatively friendly to the environment.

2. Excellent effect. Especially, it has a very good effect on resistant grass, Japanese barley grass, etc. It also has a good control effect on some difficult-to-control species such as sparrow wheat, multi-flowered ryegrass, and Kentucky bluegrass.

Ii. Issues to Be Noted When Using Fluothiazuram herbicide

At present, in agricultural production, the combination of 35 grams of 41% fluothiazuron herbicide and 100 grams of 50% isopropyl herbicide is mainly used to kill all the weeds of Croton, with remarkable effects. Specifically, within 25 days after sowing, when the soil moisture is suitable, the pesticide can be used at any time. However, the following issues still need to be noted when using it:

1. When sowing wheat, it is advisable to cover the soil evenly before application. Be cautious when using pesticides with exposed seeds.

2. It is very important to seal the soil moisture for wheat. Generally, it is applied before light rain and after moderate or heavy rain. There should be no standing water in the crop field; otherwise, it is easy to cause pesticide damage.

3. The water usage should be sufficient. Generally, manual carrying of sprayers weighs 40 to 50 kilograms per mu, while electric sprayers weigh 50 to 60 kilograms per mu. Try not to choose drones for enclosure. The water consumption of drones is too low, which will affect the usage effect. If drones are chosen, the water consumption per mu must be more than 5 liters.
