Product Introduction

Flufenacet is an aryloxyethamide herbicide with a CAS number of 142459-58-3, a molecular formula of C14H13F4N3O2S, and a molecular weight of 363.33. Fluthiazuram is mainly used to control annual grass weeds, sedges and some small broad-leaved weeds. This product is a pure white to brown solid with a melting point of 76-79℃. It has moderate water solubility and low volatility, and is suitable for early soil treatment before or after germination for various crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans, and rice.

Mechanism of action

Flufenacet exerts its herbicidal effect by inhibiting cell division and growth, and its target site is the fatty acid metabolism pathway. As an systemic herbicide, it can be absorbed through the root system or young buds and migrate within the crop body, interfering with the meristematic activity of weeds. The tolerance of crops to it stems from the rapid detoxification effect of glutathione transferase.
