Product Introduction
Thiencarbazone-methyl is a sulfonamide carbonyl triazolinone herbicide with a CAS number of 317815-83-1, a molecular formula of C12H14N4O7S2, and a molecular weight of 390.39. The pure product is a white to light yellow solid with a melting point of 132℃, featuring both systemic properties and dual soil-stem and leaf activity. It is mainly used for controlling annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in corn, wheat, lawns and ornamental plant fields, such as horsetail, foxtail, amaranth, etc.
Mechanism of action
Thiosulone inhibits acetyl-lactate synthase (ALS), blocking the biosynthesis of plant branched-chain amino acids (valine, leucine, isoleucine), leading to the arrest of cell division and death of sensitive weed cells. Its uniqueness lies in its combination of soil sealing and post-emergence stem and leaf treatment activity, which can be absorbed through the root system and leaves and conducted upward. When compounded with the safety agent cyclopropanulfonamide, it can significantly enhance the safety of crops.
Characteristics and Advantages
Triple weed control mechanism: The only herbicide that combines soil sealing, post-emergence stem and leaf treatment, and reactivation upon contact with water. It can control weeds for up to 8 weeks and is resistant to rain erosion.
Broad-spectrum and highly effective: Used alone, it can control 苘麻 and caryophyllaceae weeds; After being compounded with isoxadimefon, the spectrum of weed control has expanded to over 65 species, including resistant weeds such as wild millet and foxtail.
Low-toxicity and environmentally friendly: The acute oral LD50 for rats is over 2000 mg/kg, and it is low-toxic to birds, fish and bees, meeting the standards of green pesticides.
Flexible compounding: It is often compounded with cyclosulfonone, fluothiazolam, etc. to form multi-site products, such as TriVort (thiazolam + fluothiazolam + isoxazolam), which can be used for the control of resistant weeds.
Summary
With its innovative ALS inhibition mechanism and multiple weeding characteristics, thiazone sulon has become a core product for the management of resistant weeds in cornfields and wheat fields. The recommended dosage is 118.1 to 141.8 grams per hectare (applied before the three-leaf stage of corn). It has the advantages of "combined sealing and killing", drought resistance and rain erosion resistance, and is suitable for multiple crop rotation systems.
