Product Introduction

Cyazofamid is a sulfamimidazole fungicide with a CAS number of 120116-88-3, a molecular formula of C13H13ClN4O2S, and a molecular weight of 324.79. The pure product is a light yellow powdery solid with a melting point of 152.7℃ and a vapor pressure lower than 1.33×10⁻⁵ Pa. Its solubility in water at 20℃ is 0.121 μg/mL (pH5). This product has a high degree of specificity against Oomycetes (such as Downy mildew, Phytophthora, and Pythium), and is mainly used to prevent and control diseases such as downy mildew, blight, damping-off, and root rot caused by Oomycetes.

Mechanism of action

Cymazole blocks the energy supply by inhibiting the electron transfer of the cytochrome bc1 complex (Qi site) in the mitochondria of pathogenic bacteria, leading to the death of the bacteria. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to simultaneously inhibit the six growth stages of Oomycetes (sporangia formation and germination, zoospore release and movement, mycelial growth and oospore formation), and it has no cross-resistance with fungicides such as metalaxyl and dimethomoline.

Characteristics and Advantages

  • Broad-spectrum and highly efficient: Specifically designed to control oomycetes diseases such as late blight of potatoes, downy mildew of cucumbers, and root rot of Chinese cabbage. Its activity is higher than that of traditional fungicides, with only 30-40 milliliters (20% suspension) required per mu.

  • Long-lasting effect: The protective effect can last for 15 days, resistant to rain erosion (rain one hour after application does not affect the efficacy), reducing the frequency of application.

  • Safety and environmental protection: Safe for crops (no reports of pesticide damage), low toxicity to humans, livestock, bees and fish, in line with green agricultural standards, and can be harvested 3-4 days after application.

  • Flexible compounding: It is often compounded with dimethomorph, fludinolide, etc., to enhance the therapeutic effect. For example, the "fludinolide · cypromazole" compound can expand the spectrum of prevention and treatment.

Precautions for Use

  • Application timing: It should be used before or at the early stage of disease occurrence. Spray evenly on both sides of the leaves. When treating, it needs to be compounded with systemic fungicides (such as thiamine).

  • Resistance management: Apply no more than three times per crop season. It is recommended to rotate pesticides with different mechanisms of action.

  • Safety precautions: Avoid contact with skin or eyes. Store out of reach of children.
